Young Professional Company Award: finalists selected
Teams from Aibel, ExxonMobil, Shell and the Ministry of Petroleum and Energy have been picked for the final of the Young Professional Company Award (YPCA) at this year’s ONS conference.
A total of 16 companies applied to compete in this contest, which requires each team to contribute its views and comments to one of three conference sessions.
The ONS 2008 conference committee, which selected the finalists, has said that it was generally impressed by the quality of the applications.
Understandable content, an exciting concept, originality and not least a clear message were the winning qualities of the four finalists.
They had also succeeded in incorporating the main theme for this year’s Stavanger show: Energy for one world.
The YPCA was first presented in 2002. The award aims to put young professionals in the oil and gas sector on the stage in order to hear the views of tomorrow’s industry leaders.
The 2006 award was presented to The Norwegian Petroleum Directorate for an outstanding contribution to the conference.
